บริษัทเอสโซ่ (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด (มหาชน) และบริษัทในเครือเอ็กซอนโมบิลในประเทศไทย ได้บริจาคคอมพิวเตอร์ที่ไม่ได้ใช้งานแต่สภาพดี จำนวน 30 เครื่องให้กับมูลนิธิคุณพ่อเรย์เพื่อให้นักเรียนของศูนย์ฝึกทักษะวิชาชีพอิเล็กทรอนิคส์และคอมพิวเตอร์ เทคโนโลยีพระมหาไถ่พัทยา มูลนิธิคุณพ่อเรย์ ได้นำไปใช้ในการฝึกซ่อมบำรุงคอมพิวเตอร์และเสริมสร้างความรู้วิชาชีพให้ผู้พิการทางการเคลื่อนไหว โดยหลังจากซ่อมบำรุงแล้ว ทางมูลนิธิจะส่งมอบให้กับโรงเรียนอื่นๆที่ขาดแคลนและต้องการนำไปใช้ในการเรียนการสอนต่อไป
ในโอกาสนี้ ดร. ทวีศักดิ์ บรรลือสินธุ์ กรรมการ บริษัท เอสโซ่ (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด (มหาชน) และ ผู้จัดการฝ่ายกิจกรรมองค์กรและรัฐกิจสัมพันธ์ บริษัท เอ็กซอนโมบิล จำกัด (ที่1จากซ้าย แถวหน้า) ได้มอบคอมพิวเตอร์ดังกล่าวให้กับ คุณปทุม สุขเกิด ผู้จัดการทั่วไป มูลนิธิคุณพ่อเรย์ (ที่ 2 จากขวา แถวหน้า) โดยมีพนักงานจากเอสโซ่และเอ็กซอนโมบิลร่วมในพิธีมอบ ซึ่งจัดขึ้นที่อาคารสำนักงานเอ็กซอนโมบิล ตึกหะริณธร กรุงเทพฯ
เอสโซ่และเอ็กซอนโมบิล ตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของการศึกษาในทุกภาคส่วน โดยเฉพาะในการยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ด้อยโอกาสในสังคม จึงได้สนับสนุนโครงการปรับปรุงศูนย์ฝึกทักษะวิชาชีพอิเล็กทรอนิคส์และคอมพิวเตอร์ เพื่อให้ผู้พิการได้รับโอกาสในการพัฒนาพึ่งพาตนเอง อันจะนำไปสู่การดำเนินชีวิตได้อย่างปกติสุข
Esso, together with Father Ray Foundation, provides opportunity to disabled students
Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited and ExxonMobil affiliates in Thailand presented 30 used laptops which are still in good condition to Father Ray Foundation as part of the efforts to support learning by disabled students of the Foundation’s Electronics and Computer Skills training Center at the Redemptorist Vocational School. The students will practice their computer checkup and maintenance skills which can be a sustainable career in the future. After being checked up, the laptops will be forwarded to other schools for educational use.
On this occasion, Dr. Taweesak Bunluesin , Director of Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited and Public & Government Affairs Manager of ExxonMobil Limited (1st from left, front row) presented the laptops to Pathum Sukkerd, General Manager of Father Ray Foundation (2nd from right). The presentation took place at an ExxonMobil office in Harindhorn building and was also joined by a group of employees from Esso and ExxonMobil in Thailand.
Esso and ExxonMobil recognize the importance of education in all sectors, including underprivileged people. This support to the Electronics and Computer Skills Trainings Center is to enhance opportunities for those handicapped to be self-reliant and have their own career to lead a better life.
