July 17 2025 – Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions (WMFTS), a world leader in manufacturing peristaltic pumps and associated fluid path technologies, will demonstrate the sustainability benefits of its Qdos H-FLO chemical metering pumps and Bredel Hose Pumps at Booth No. 11 at the 10th Edition Oil & Gas Roadshow (July 17-18).

With more than 60 years of technical expertise, WMFTS offers a comprehensive portfolio of peristaltic pump solutions for chemical dosing in the oil and gas industry, which is prevalent in both upstream and downstream processes.

The Thai chemical industry, including chemical dosing, is a significant market. According to Statista, the chemical industry in Thailand is a significant contributor to the nation’s economy, with an estimated value added of US$12.94 billion in 2025. Furthermore, the industrial water treatment chemicals market in Thailand, which utilises chemical dosing, is also substantial and projected to grow.

Jose Longo, General Manager (ANZ, Southeast Asia and India) at WMFTS, commented: “According to Research and Markets, the oil and gas market size will reach 274.11 thousand barrels per day by 2030, up from 244.29 thousand barrels per day in 2025. We see great growth opportunities in the chemical dosing application in the oil and gas industry. We are excited to be part of Thailand’s growth process to address complex fluid path challenges through our innovative end-to-end solutions in the fluid transfer, dosing and metering applications. Our pumps also help operators to comply with environmental and safety regulations. We look forward to having industry-government partnership and reaching out to the key industry players through offering high performing and competitive solutions.”

In line with the global priorities for sustainability, Faith Tang, Head of APAC Marketing, explained how WMFTS pumps and hoses offer competitive advantages.

She said: “Our fluid path solutions such as Qdos H-FLO and Bredel hose pumps are designed with sustainability in mind to reduce chemical waste, improve dosing accuracy and reduce maintenance waste. The energy-efficient, seal-less design also helps to reduce water usage, and supports safer handling of hazardous fluids. All these features help to optimise operational and process efficiency of the plants and contribute to greater cost saving and a more efficient production process.”

Like the rest of the Qdos range of peristaltic pumps, Qdos H-FLO cuts costs through higher precision chemical metering. Qdos H-FLO is designed specifically for higher flow rates up to 600 L/hr. Qdos pumps have an accuracy of ±1% and repeatability of ±0.5%, and this accuracy results in reduced chemical costs and contributes to less emissions with fewer chemical deliveries.

Bredel Hose Pumps are ideal for abrasive, corrosive, and viscous fluid applications in mining and wastewater, offering reliable, seal-free operation with minimal maintenance. Bredel hose pumps are also being used at chemical plants for their ability to completely contain the pumped fluid in a long-life hose, preventing operator contact with chemicals, slurries or sludge.

Lined with polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE), Aflex hoses offer excellent chemical resistance. Corroflon is a fluoroplastic hose with a flexible convoluted PTFE liner for chemical and process fluid transfer. Corroline+ is a kink resistant, flexible hose with reinforcing to withstand the most severe conditions.

Watson-Marlow 500 series pumps offer precise flow control, gentle pumping, low maintenance, fluid containment and versatile connectivity with control systems like EtherNet/IP™, Profibus®, and SCADA.
