Mr. Montri Rawanchaikul, Chief Executive Officer of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), together with executives and employees at the company’s headquarters and operation sites in Thailand and overseas, paid tribute and expressed their deepest condolences on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother devoted her life and wisdom to the well-being of the Thai people throughout the nation. Her royal benevolence has also extended to the nation’s energy foundation. Her Majesty bestowed the auspicious name “Sirikit Oil Field” upon Thailand’s largest onshore crude oil field and graciously presided over its official opening ceremony on January 12, 1983.

Located in Lan Krabue District, Kamphaeng Phet Province, the Sirikit Oil Field marked a significant milestone in Thailand’s journey toward energy self-reliance and has since remained a vital energy source, driving the nation’s economy, supporting livelihoods, and creating jobs and opportunities for local communities for more than four decades. The Sirikit Oil Field also led to the establishment of PTTEP to carry forward the mission of exploring petroleum resources for Thailand.
